Surgical Services
for Pets

Our veterinarian performs open surgical procedures, which are done using traditional surgical methods rather than laparoscopy. For all pets aged 1 year and older, preoperative blood work is required to assess internal health and ensure your pet is a safe candidate for anesthesia.

Our vet performs stenotic nares surgery.

Brachycephalic breeds like Bulldogs, Frenchies, and Pugs often suffer from stenotic nares, which are abnormally narrow nostrils that make breathing difficult. These pets may snore, struggle to breathe during exercise, or overheat easily. A lack of enough oxygen can become dangerous to the health of your canine companion.

easyvet Estero offers corrective stenotic nares surgery to widen the nostrils and improve airflow for brachycephalic dogs. This procedure significantly enhances comfort and allows these breeds to breathe more freely and safely. Stenotic nares surgery is usually recommended early in your dog’s life to avoid long-term health complications, but it can be performed later in adulthood for some pets.

Vulvoplasty for Pets

Vulvoplasty is a corrective surgery for female pets who have excess skin folds around the vulva, a condition known as recessed vulva. These excess folds can lead to chronic irritation, infections, and recurrent urinary tract infections (UTIs). This procedure is most often performed on dogs, although cats can need this surgery in rare cases.

A pet vulvoplasty involves removing the excess skin to improve airflow and hygiene in the area. Pets who undergo vulvoplasty often experience fewer infections, less inflammation, and greater overall comfort. If your pet has frequent UTIs or persistent discomfort due to skin folds, this surgery may be the solution.
